The
Financial Analyst - Inventory holds a broad range of responsibilities including inventory forecasting, budgeting, accounting, reporting, and providing operational support.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Support monthly/quarterly inventory forecasting requirements for both external and internal stakeholders
  • Perform inventory analysis and modelling to support organic & inorganic growth opportunities
  • Through financial and business analysis, drive better and faster decisions
  • Support development of fleet reporting and related dispatch dashboards
  • Assist/lead various projects to streamline inventory planning processes or capture new operational data sources
  • Support forecasting efforts related to capacity planning in inventory availability
  • Support capital allocation decisions
  • Maintain capital asset schedules
  • Manage yearend inventory counts and implement monthly cycle counts
  • Manage inventory software, process inventory adjustments, manage product catalog etc.
  • Manage the daytoday controls on product movement i.e., monitoring shipments and returns etc.
  • Liase with operational managers on key Business Intelligence insights and provide ad hoc analysis as needed; this could include product expansion, etc.
  • Communicate with vendors on product pricing when required
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of construction equipment rental and sales, swing stage or scaffolding knowledge preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Power BI platform is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to influence change and effectively lead projects; collect and analyze data; and develop and communicate recommendations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze business process and maintain internal controls
  • Ability to communicate with team members up and down the organization
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to the Senior Leadership Team
