    Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Work with Winch Trucks, Bed Truck, and Picker Trucks
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials
  • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability
  • Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules
  • Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques
  • Install ground rigging for yarding lines, attaching chokers to logs and then to the lines
  • Align, level, and anchor machinery
  • Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
  • Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools
  • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets
  • Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts. Wash equipment as requested by Supervisor
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections on Jack & Slide Equipment
  • Perform pilot operation for oversize loads
  • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps
  • Operate CAT and John Deere skid steers
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers
  • Organize ENTREC's yard and other facilities
  • Desired skills and Experience:

  • Availability to work in a camp environment with rotational shifts, including days and nights. Successful candidates will have a choice between 14/7 or 21/7 shifts.
  • Previous Jack and Slide experience is considered an asset
  • Previous Picker and Bed Truck experience is considered an asset
  • Experienced in using OHS hand signals for spotting mobile cranes and mobile equipment
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance
  • Solid communication skills
  • Ability to navigate work sites, and adapt to daily changes in scopes of work
