Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Generalist plays a crucial role in both operational and strategic aspects.
This is a managerial-level position that will involve overseeing various administrative tasks while also implementing HR strategies that support business objectives.
Compensation:
$24-$31/hr
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
HR Operations & Compliance
- Administer benefits programs, including health, dental, and life insurance, along with retirement plans.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness, including handling payroll tax issues and Records of Employment (ROE).
- Maintain and manage timeoff requests, overtime, and shift premiums.
- Ensure accurate HR documentation, conduct salary benchmarking, and participate in salary surveys.
- Manage new hire onboarding, including orientation and training.
- Lead performance review processes and provide guidance on evaluation methods.
- Facilitate communication through monthly staffleadership dialogues and organize teambuilding events.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and investigate workplace incidents.
- Coordinate Health and Safety Committee meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Post secondary degree Human Resources Management
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong knowledge of Provincial legislative requirements, employment law and HR best practises
- Excellent MS Office suite skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and payroll processing (ADP experience preferred).
