The Manager, Accounting Services and Systems will collaborate with the teams to design and implement scalable best-in-class automated systems and processes and key performance indicators to drive standardization while balancing internal stakeholder requirements and strong financial controls.

This position will be responsible for leading, managing and coaching the accounts receivable and payable teams to ensure the timely, accurate processing of financial information in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

It will also with key stakeholders and internal customers as a business partner.

The Manager, Accounting Services and Systems will:

  • Oversee the Port Authority's shared services function which includes the procure to pay and billing to collection cycles including the month and year end close processes and related analytics and accruals
  • Design and implement an automated and digitized workflow for the pay to procure processes that includes digitizing invoices, electronic approvals, match and verify system for purchase orders, contracts and other supporting documentation, optical character recognition for coding of invoices and electronic payment and notifications
  • Develop and manage key performance indicators and standardized reporting for the shared service functions:
  • Review and analyze reports to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of current policies and procedures
  • Design and implement selfserve reporting to allow the business access to information to manage accounts receivables and payables
  • Partner with other organizational leaders to achieve successful implementation of key system initiatives as related to Shared Services
