Description

You will be working with a team of consultants who share a "we can solve this" attitude.

This includes analysis of our clients' existing operations, developing creative solutions to their challenges, and implementing these through solid facility planning and design practice.

You will have experience in CAD drafting, site measurement, and construction field reviews, and will provide critical support to our team.

TO BE SELECTED

Here's what we're looking for:

• You have a history of overcoming obstacles in tackling problems, even when they seemed insurmountable to start.
• You have a technical background: engineer, technologist, technician, CAD drafter, or even some great handson experience without the usual schooling.
• You have handled concurrent projects, and can set and manage effective priorities.
• You know your limitations, and you know how and when to ask for help.
• You have a good command of technical and business English, and can translate between them, explaining complex technical matters to nontechnical people.
• You have at least intermediate skill in AutoCAD or Revit.
• It will be an asset if you have spent time working in an industrial operational setting.
• It will be an asset if you are familiar with one or more of the fields of construction, logistics, warehousing and/or transportation.
• It will be an asset if you are familiar with the BC Building Code.

THE CHALLENGES

We are a small firm, which means that we often get involved in projects that are on the edge of our comfort zone.

We need you to be able to quickly research and expand your knowledge to meet our clients' needs, without stretching so far that puts our professional practice at risk.

We deal with a wide range of clients. Some we've fired. Most are great to work with, but that doesn't mean there is never conflict. You need to be OK working with challenging people, and do it professionally.


SOME OTHER BITS
Our clients are located across the Lower Mainland, and Western Canada. You have to be able to drive, and you must have a vehicle. There may be occasional multi-day work travel.

It's 2023. You have to be kind, be calm and be safe.

You have to wash your hands often, be super comfortable with and respectful of facemasks and physical distancing where clients require it.
