    Telecon's Connectivity division is looking to hire a Security Sales Representative to join our team of dynamic sales professionals. The Security Sales Rep will be responsible for expanding and maintaining a customer base while generating profitable returns for the organization. This role will focus on the creation and closing of new customer sales opportunities in the development, design and integration of security technologies while assisting in the retention and growth of existing clients. The mandate beyond growth is to always provide an exceptional customer experience to our new and existing customers.

    Responsibilities

    • Identifying and assessing opportunities within the Integrated Security industry
    • Selling new and existing customers on new Integrated Security services, including CCTV, Access Control, intrusion alarm systems, and Intercom systems
    • Making product suggestions according to the wants and needs of the customers
    • Locating prospective customers, generating them into leads, and eventually converting them to customers
    • Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas
    • Using strong research skills and deep product or industry knowledge to answer any questions about the products and services
    • Keeping contact lists and following up with current customers to continue building relationships
    • Writing and submitting accurate orders
    • Designing customized, cost-effective solutions for the client
    • Leveraging the CRM system to develop prospecting and sales strategy that ensures high activity and effective closing ratios
    • Submitting pricing and pre-qualification requests reflecting the client's requirements
    • Liaising with internal team including estimators and operations management
    • Building, maintaining, and leveraging relationships with manufacturers and suppliers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, marketing or finance, or related field
    • 3+ years of industry experience
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Knowledge of physical security technologies and best practices
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Dynamics
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
    • Current knowledge of industry regulations and trends
    • Excellent sales acumen and customer service skills
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and administrative skills
    • Ability to attend all sales training conferences off-site, willingness to travel for outside sales including industry conferences
    • Demonstrated product knowledge and sales abilities
    • Strong public speaking skills to present product or services to customers
    • Communication skills to confidently make cold calls or negotiate sales terms
    • Ability to meet deadlines and sales quotas
    • Must be eligible for Enhanced Reliability security clearance
