A Day in the Life
Recognize, and solve basic and advanced Curtain Wall and UCW detailing issues. Understanding of basic curtain wall construction methods, is a must.
Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings
Foresee/solve and address curtain wall issues as they arise
Read, understand and review Specifications providing input for potential risks
Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required.
Demonstrate seasoned understanding of Curtain Wall/Window systems
Plan and execute Curtain Wall/Window shop and fabrication drawings with input from the team leads is a must.
Review specifications and ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed into the final shop drawing package.
Correspond and plan the execution of projects with Estimating, Project Manager(s), and the Design/Construction teams.
Understand building construction and sequencing
Check fabrication releases

What We Are Seeking
Must be able to work in Canada.
Proficiency with the following programs: AutoCAD 2D and 3D modeling, Inventor with Min 5+ years' experience in construction. Revit knowledge is considered an asset
Must be selfmotivated, well organized and detailoriented
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritizing work to meet critical deadlines
Min 5 years of experience in the Curtain Wall and Unitized industry is a must
Must have a good understanding of Building Science related topics and issues as they relate to Curtain Wall and Building Envelope design.
Proven experience in the Curtain Wall industry including the execution of Shop/Fabrication drawings from start to finish
Basic understanding of industry codes
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong PC skills in MS Office
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
