The Opportunity:
As a new graduateRegistered Nurse, you will be provided with a minimum of three (3) months ofon-the-job orientation on either the Medical Inpatient Unit. Within the new grad initiative, the candidate willwork with a mentor to develop the knowledge and skills needed to functionindependently and as part of the interdisciplinary team on an acute care Medical unit. Following the schedule of your mentor, you will workcollaboratively on a patient assignment gradually assuming a greater portion ofthe responsibility for care of the patients. You will hone your assessmentskills and learn to develop plans of care to meet the individual needs ofpatients.
The ability to detectchanges in the condition of patients and take appropriate action is a keycomponent of your learning. You will have the ability to tailor your learningplan to meet individual learning needs.
