Job summary
The Junior Estimator is responsible for assisting the construction team with quantity take-offs, schedules and notifications.Filling approval processes contracts etc.
Reviewing and analyzing project documents - specifications and drawings,
Preparing multi-discipline material take offs from various architectural engineering drawings to generate bill of materials,
Prepare quantity take-offs for project statistics analytics.,
- Work closely with VP Preconstruction Project Managers on compiling cost information scheduling meetings with Construction managers trades coordinating schedules communicating project progress assisting with documents and processes.
- Analyzing review project documents specifications drawings assist preparation multi-discipline material take offs generating bill materials preparing quantity takeoffs statistics analytics assist full cost estimates interpreting documentation specifications design drawings defining scope maintaining large working files supporting documentation estimating figures participating tender contract preparation coordinating receipt opening implementing maintaining Project Management procedures forms approvals submissions ensuring construction timelines up date accordance project notifications maintaining regular status reports updating database researching prior data purchase orders subcontracts productivity analysis reports developing guidelines precedents future estimates participating design progress meetings client presentations as required working closely development teams departments gathering input identification deliverables requirements getting quotes labour materials subcontractors vendors suppliers developing estimation forms templates historical data benchmarking organizing attending documenting following important actions decisions meeting planning agendas minutes maintaining departmental filing system other duties requested management.
