Brewers Supply Group supplies services and ingredients to the best breweries and craft breweries in Canada. In this position you will be a hands-on member of our Operations team.


As a Warehouse Associate at BSG, you will help provide Ontario breweries with premium malts, brewing ingredients, and value added services.

The role includes picking orders, milling, loading carriers and customers, receiving trailers, sanitation, and other assigned tasks.


A minimum of 70% of a Warehouse Associate's job involves picking 50lb bags and hand palletizing them onto pallets. The role also includes milling at least one day a week. Milling involves handling up to 400 50lb bags a day in the mill room.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Order picking involves walking the warehouse floor and picking individual 50lb bags to be palletized by hand for customer orders, and moved around the facility using a walkie (powered pump cart)
  • Receive, pick, pack, label, and/or ship products
  • Operation of a forklift or walkie
  • Maintain accurate inventory through proper use of warehouse management software and handheld scanners
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
  • Milling grain
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50lbs repetitively throughout a shift
  • Previous warehouse management software is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • High School Diploma required
WHAT DOES OUR ONBOARDING PROCESS LOOK LIKE?


FIRST DAY:

  • Tour of the facility, meeting the team, first day paperwork
  • Online training covering policies, safety, food safety, and jobspecific content

REMAINDER OF FIRST WEEK:

  • You will be paired up with an experienced team member and shadow them to start learning the job and our warehouse management software (i.e. handheld scanner)

SECOND WEEK:

  • With ongoing support from the team, start to perform job duties individually
  • Leverage peers for any questions or support on troubleshooting issues

WEEKS 3-4 MAY INCLUDE:

  • Crosstraining on different warehouse functions
  • Working individually with support from the team
  • Additional online training modules on different parts of the job
This position is on dayshift
