Corporate Food and Beverage Manager


ATLIFIC HOTELS is seeking the right individual to join us as
Corporate Food and Beverage Manager to be responsible for managing all Food and Beverage operations at a national level as we continue to redefine and reposition our hotels' restaurant/lounges and banquet experiences across Canada.


Working with our Food and Beverage Directors/Managers, Executive Chefs and General Managers, and engaging with our Brands and Suppliers at all levels, this dynamic position will be at the forefront of our ongoing culinary evolution, to deliver an excellent guest experience.


This role needs someone who can enhance the profile and reputation of ATLIFIC HOTELS by providing the highest quality of Food Production and Service.

Through their efforts and support, this position will include a focus on the development and training of property F and B leaders, who in turn will consistently deliver the highest standards of service to all guests while returning a reasonable level of profitability.

Please note that this role does require extensive travel, job location to be determined.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • When required, to assist in recruiting, developing and mentoring property level F&B leaders
  • To engage in and support the growth of Food & Beverage throughout all Atlific managed properties
  • To remain aware of current trends in the food service industry and competitor initiatives
  • To support the creation of Food & Beverage strategic plans for all properties that is in line with overall specific hotel goals, training leaders as required.
  • To plan, implement and evaluate new Food & Beverage initiatives and promotions and to validate the effectiveness of such initiatives
  • To work with the property level F&B leaders to assist in the design of exceptional menus, focusing on local, ingredients and where possible farm to table options.
  • Seek out national and regional purchase options.
  • Assist in the development of effective cost control procedures through all properties in consultation with property leadership
  • Provide an efficient and effective flow of communication from Corporate office to the field and vice versa as well as nurture an "accountable" environment at the property level
  • In consultation with property leadership, determine initiatives where needed supporting skill development, motivation and teamwork
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial licensing and food safety requirements, including brand specific expectations.
  • Regularly audit properties' procedures and processes
  • Establish targets, KPI's, schedules, policies and procedures in conjunction with property senior leadership
  • Data collection and analysis of key performance criteria, sharing results and best practices

EXPERIENCE

  • Diverse range of experience within Limited Service, Full Service, Luxury, Branded and Unbranded Hotel operations.
  • Proven experience with identifying, sourcing, developing and launching corporate level vendor agreements that effectively leverage combined corporate purchasing power.
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with F&B Leaders in the field
  • Track record of being an adopter of industry trends, innovations, opportunities & challenges.
  • Proven track record of working with cross functional teams to bring complex projects and initiatives to life.
  • Experienced with restaurant, banquet facility, and kitchen design, from the inception stage onwards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multiple years of Hotel F&B Industry Experience with a mix of culinary and front of house experience (tenure within a Corporate F&B function an asset)
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or related business discipline an asset
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas, initiatives and vision in a compelling, clear and articulate manner to a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to demonstrated project manager
  • Multilocation Leadership experience an asset
  • Recognized as an inspirational leader, able to function at all levels of an organization
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs /systems (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Guestoriented and serviceminded
  • Proven ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Culinary Red Seal an asset
  • Sommelier and/or Additional industry/trade specific designations an asset
  • Bilingual (French/English) an asset
