STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

This position manages store operations including employees, facilities and equipment in order to ensure that
Tim Hortons' standards around people, product, cleanliness and exceptional customer service are fulfilled.


Key Responsibilities:


Customer Service

  • Leads by example to demonstrate and reinforce with employees that the customer is top priority
  • Responds to customers in a friendly manner with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Responds to special customer requests in a friendly manner
  • Responds to customer service complaints, resolving problems and turning negative situations into positive situations
  • Schedules employees to ensure optimal coverage at all times and fills in as required for various areas during busy periods to meet deadlines

People

  • Interviews, hires and leads orientation for new employees
  • Makes use of the Positional Training System, and ensures all employees are fully trained in accordance with standards
  • Supervises and manages performance of Storefront Employees, Production Employees, Shift Supervisors and Assistant Managers to ensure all job duties and behaviors are aligned with store policies and applies progressive discipline where necessary
  • Sets goals and objectives with employees and provides guidance and assistance as required
  • Tracks and submits payroll information for all employees

Operations

  • Maintains a productive and safe work environment in accordance with all Tim Hortons operating, food safety, security, health and safety, and employment standards and applicable legislation
  • Performs sales analysis, labour and throw out calculations on a daily basis
  • Responsible for daily cash procedures and financial reporting
  • Prepares product requirement orders for bakery and donut items
  • Maintains optimal inventory levels and proper yields from all products
  • Performs regular property walkthrus and to ensure all standards are being met
  • Monitors for and corrects unsafe acts and conditions, escalating the issue where necessary
  • Monitors information sources (e.g. Portal) to keep current with new information
  • Other duties as required

  • Employee completion of AF TIMS _i_ & AF MCP titles
  • Speed of Service store targets
  • Food, Paper, Labour percentages
  • Customer comments & satisfaction

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour
