Job Description:

What you'll be doing


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Programs, the Consultant, Regulatory Programs will work to effectively assess risk related to client accounts, provide risk management investigation and corrective action services that support multi-segment line management as it pertains to regulatory requirements.

You will support on various regulatory compliance initiatives as it relates to impacts on existing operational processes or net new processes support PBB and CC&I lines of business.

You will work closely with Regulatory Programs operational team to update procedures and processes, look for continuous improvements to enhance efficiency of daily reporting.

In addition, you will also support and sponsor QA testing among processes and support with any audits and testing. You will work with the Senior Manager and partners across CIBC on various initiatives related to AML as required.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 13 days per week onsite, while other days will be remote. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of onsite and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._
How you'll succeed

  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Support the team for conducting CDD and EDD on high risk client files for AML. Support in the approval, decline or blocking decisions on client accounts based on risks identified. Be resilient to new changes, implement strong controls to identify and report nonconformance on processes. Support audits or partner initiatives as required ensuring compliance to regulations primarily on AML remediation processes. Act as a Records officer for the Regulatory Programs Team.
  • Client and Partner Engagement
  • You are skillful in building relationships with partners across CIBC with the ability to communicate processes and guidelines effectively both written and verbally.
  • Quality Controls support quality monitoring services and measure effectiveness of programs and processes as to ensure the business effectiveness. Provide regular status updates to the Senior Manager on any systemic issues.
