is a major supplier of mobile equipment parts and specially fitted utility vehicles designed to carry people and materials in mining environments.

We are proudly located in Sudbury, Ontario and supply parts and products to the mining industry in multiple countries worldwide We are looking for an ambitious and team-oriented individual to join our team


Position Summary:

The Purchasing Clerk will focus on purchasing and sourcing of material and services required for Sales and Production.

As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be expected to act as an ambassador when dealing with vendors and prospects.


Responsibilities:


  • Foster a culture of safety & continuous improvement.
  • Purchase materials and services required for sales, internal jobs, and inventory.
  • Provide timely resolution of issues affecting delivery of goods & services.
  • Handle correspondence concerning shipment overages, shortages, and damages.
  • Maintain detailed records for products and sourcing.
  • Establish logistics and deliveries with carriers and vendors.
  • Participate in annual physical Inventory count.
  • Determine vendor priority and stock levels based on established criteria.
  • Escalate measures as required to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Update pricing and lead time to all materials in ERP system.
  • Communicate with Vendors, Sales, Production, Finance, and other members of the Supply Chain team.
  • New production identification and sourcing of new products.
  • Receive and prepare documentation for the warehouse where required.

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 2+ years Purchasing experience, including data management and inventory control is considered a strong asset.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets and order processing systems.
  • Solid data analytical/problem solving skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Effective team player.
  • Effective written, verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with the internal personnel and customers
  • Time management skills with a solid ability to priorities tasks
  • Bilingual (English & French) considered an asset

Salary:

Our Company offers a competitive base salary. Full benefits and a group RRSP are also included and commence after the probation period.
