    ABOUT THE ROLEThe Elsie Fabian School opened its doors September of 2022 and we are looking for two dedicated individuals with strong organizational skills to join our team as a Custodian. These individuals will perform custodial duties to ensure that Elsie Fabian school is maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner. These are full-time positions and will work under the supervision of the Custodian Team Lead.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
    • Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures and other general areas.
    • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities and notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
    • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
    • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
    • Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
    • Follow all health and safety regulations.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors.
    • Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture.
    • Stock other supply areas.
    • Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
    • Report and store lost and found items.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    KEY REQUIREMENTS
    • High school diploma is required
    • Proven working experience as a Custodian
    • Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
    • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
    • Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
    • Experience working in a First Nations community including knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions and values is required.
    • Clean Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector required.
    • Valid class five (5) Driver's License & Clean Driver's Abstract required.
    • Successful candidate will be required to live in (or relocate to) Fort McMurray, Albert
