As a Finance Coordinator, you will be a key liaison who provides strategic financial expertise and support to clients, external partners, and Finance.

You will interpret internal and external financial policies, processes, client needs, and accounting standards for a diverse audience with varying financial understanding.


Primary duties include:

  • Communicate regularly with clients in order to provide financial analysis, professional judgment, process review, policy interpretation, and associated recommendations.
  • Respond to a large volume and variety of requests with competing deadlines.
  • Support Corporate and Finance projects, in addition to adhoc requests.
  • Assist with streamlining and developing new processes to address changes in the business needs.
  • Assist with the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures within Finance.
  • Create financial models and provide financial analysis to help in management and operational decisions.
  • Assist in the development of Finance specific and corporate wide training on various Finance topics.
  • Actively participate in the review, development, and implementation of new and existing systems functionality.
  • Assess and advise on process changes related to systems upgrades, changes, and implementations.
  • Enforce for master and transactional data controls to ensure data quality for corporate reporting, analysis, and business insights.
  • Undertake issue investigation, data analytics, and financial metrics development as required.
  • Maintain Service Line Translation Table in Hyperion.

Qualifications
***A degree combined with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and at least 5 years of related progressive financial experience.

  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) is considered an asset.
  • Course work in Business Analysis and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and in data analytics will be considered assets.
  • Experience with the following is considered an asset:
  • Experience with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems, preferably with PeopleSoft and Hyperion or an equivalent system.
Experience with Financial Report development.
Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as SAP Business Objects, Power Business Intelligence (BI), and/or Kibana.

  • Success in this position requires strong critical thinking and problem solving skills, innovation and an ability to challenge the status quo and think of new ways of doing things.
  • Demonstrated political acumen and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
