Description
Job responsibilities include the following:
Job Planning
- Preparing for field service trip, booking flights and hotels
- Gathering / ordering parts as required for job and shipping to job site
- Shipping tools to job site
Traveling
- Fly and/or drive to necessary areas to perform field work
- Travel to remote/dangerous countries may be required Cross border traveling
Field Work
- Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul tasks on gas turbine engines, with a specialization in the LM1600 engine
- Provides technical to customers in the field by dismantling, cleaning, repairing, inspection, assembly and/or testing customer engines or accessories
- Performs schedules maintenance as part of preventative maintenance program
- Performs visual and dimensional inspection of parts determining serviceability for continued service; identifies unserviceable parts that are not reparable and initiates parts requisitions
- Assures that all services rendered are in compliance with customer, regulatory and company requirements
- Follows and utilizes manuals
Work Package Completion/ Paper Work
- Maintains detailed documentations and appropriate paperwork following completion of a serviceable job
- Maintains written reports on all pertinent incidents, accidents, problems and complaints Takes pictures as required for documentation
Customer Troubleshooting
- Acts as a liaison with production, engineering, sales and customers in resolving customer problems and complaints
- Assesses supplied information and troubleshoots to determine most effective action required
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with the LM1600 engine or similar models is essential.
- Familiarity with the 501K engine is considered a strong asset.
- Possession of a valid passport and the ability to obtain visas, if required, is mandatory.
- Must have a DI signoff or equivalent certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring accurate diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
- Flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to changing work environments.
