Ownr is looking for an Insurance Agent to join our expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly launched vertical within Ownr at the ground floor, and offer commercial/business insurance through Ownr's innovative digital platform.

As an integral part of the Ownr team, you will also be involved in all aspects of the insurance agency's operations including the marketing, strategies and process developments.

The Delivery Manager leverages agile and traditional project management frameworks and practices to support the delivery of value-driving initiatives.

This individual will work with business and technology stakeholders to enable and mobilize roadmaps into execution; communicate risks, assumptions, highlight team and project impediments and help drive a culture of continuous improvement within the delivery practice.


What will you do?

Initiative Delivery & Roadmap Readiness

  • Facilitate high complexity or multiple mediumtolow complexity initiatives from initiation through release, provide oversight to ensure alignment with
  • Agile/Project Management practices including, but not limited to project kickoff, sprint, release and deployment planning
  • Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet LOB stakeholders' needs and expectations
  • Manage risk governance processes, operational planning, and vendor management
  • Remove impediments to delivery success through the proactive management of external dependencies, team problemsolving and the development of new solutions or approaches to ongoing challenges; authority to execute against new approaches and escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary.
  • Act as the liaison between Ventures and the larger RBC Enterprise on delivery and integration as needed

Coaching & Facilitation

  • Continuously seek to improve team performance by promoting joint accountability of results and solving productivity issues; includes defining and tracking key team performance metrics to reinforce expected behaviors (DORA metrics, Say/Do ratio, unit test coverage, etc.) and continuous improvement
  • Engage in and facilitate requirements, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence
  • Provide proactive coaching to individuals on the business and technology teams.
  • Recommend continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity and drive the team to become selforganizing and selfimproving in their delivery practices

Cross-Functional Communication and Reporting

  • Communicate cross functionally, ensuring transparency of progress and outcomes, report team progress and accomplisments up and across the organization
  • Facilitate cross functional communication by documented status updates, sprint/product demos and retrospectives

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have's:


  • 45 years of experience as a Scrum Master/PM/Delivery Manager where agile and project management principles, practices and theory were diligently applied
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities & influence others without authority
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including presentation and facilitation skills
  • Skillful in Project Management and team collaboration tools, JIRA, Confluence
  • Outcomes focused mindset

Nice-to-Have:


  • Certified Advanced Scrum Master/PMP Certification or equivalent
