We are currently seeking a Tractor Operator for our Florenceville location. This position is based out of the Florenceville area with daily work in this region. As a Tractor Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of equipment and machinery.

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate power tools, perform heavy lifting, combinations of sitting, standing and walking, climbing, and working with farm machinery.

This is a temporary position with the possibility of continued employment.

Duties

Operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, combines, and/or irrigation systems
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
Operate power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently
Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Willing to work evenings and weekends during busy harvesting season

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 Driver's License
Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Experience operating heavy equipment, preferably farm machinery and potato farming is an asset
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
Ability to work well with supervision and other employees
Team player with excellent attendance
Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate 'safety first' on a continual basis, following all safety requirements.
Adaptable to alternate duties as assigned by manager and supervisors.

Compensation Package:
Starting at $20.00 CAD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
