Position Summary:

We are looking for a Lead, Process Optimization, to join our Business Transformation team for a 14-month contract.

Do you constantly think about how things work? Do you love mapping out business processes, understanding the client experience, and making it better? Do numbers and analysis excite you as a way to truly understand a problem and its impact? This role has a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director, Process Optimization and is located in Vancouver or Toronto.


As the Lead, Process Optimization, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Utilize the DMAIC structure for all process optimization projects.
  • Applies Lean Six Sigma concepts and techniques to process improvement initiatives, including completing Lean Six Sigma analyses and tasks.
  • Perform process design activities, including data gathering and analysis, process mapping, root causes analysis, developing solutions, and executing improvements.
  • Obtaining leadership, stakeholder, and business owner agreement for implementing improvements, and monitoring postprocess improvement initiative performance.
  • Accountable for the quality, timelines, and deliverables of the Process Optimization projects you lead.
  • Superior prioritization and time management skills to drive quality outcomes on all projects.
  • Drive conversations with Leadership to clarify priorities, obtain SME time, and approval of recommendations.
  • As a practice leader for Process Optimization, demonstrate structured problem solving at every opportunity and help others do the same.

Success Factors:


  • A passion for problem solving with the ability to lean into challenges.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Process Improvement tools & methodology in a servicebased industry.
  • Experienced leading simultaneous process improvement projects through to successful implementation.
  • Ability to perform deep dive in the process and come up with process improvement solutions.
  • You can drive business and operational metrics through quantitative decision making, and adoption of different tools and resources.
  • Selfstarter, accepts ownership, must be capable of handling multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to see the 'big picture', yet diligent with respect to details.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to build trust.
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
  • High degree of professionalism and maturity.
  • Ability to present well to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and handle complex issues.
  • Ability to take direction and accept responsibility.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and acquire additional education as required.

Your experience and qualifications will include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • A track record of implementing process optimization projects.
  • Minimum of Lean Six Sigma green belt certification.
  • Knowledge of Tools for Project Management, metrics, dashboards.
  • Expertise in statistics and analytical tools.
  • Experience in managing process and operational escalations.
  • Project management experience highly preferred.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lucid Charts (or other mapping software).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
