Over the last 50 years Smith-Induspac has designed and manufactured complex customized packaging solutions (industrial packaging, protective packaging, integrated packaging) for an impressive list of demanding customers active in all sectors of the economy.

As a Production Team Lead (Day Shift), you will play a key role in optimizing our production. This position reports to Production Manager.


Role and Responsibilities
According to production needs, the Production Team Lead performs a variety of tasks to support the operation.

This is a hands-on position where you will:

• Monitor production schedule to ensure ontime deliveries
• Coordinate work with team members according to requirements
• Complete Quality Reports and other required documentation
• Set up production equipment and perform production work
• Perform inventory count of raw material and finished products

Knowledge and Experience

• A high school diploma or experience in a similar role
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Leadership and communication skills
• Capacity to read/understand drawings/specifications, and proficiency with taking exact measurements (metric/imperial)
• A valid forklift license would be an asset

Skills and Abilities

• Exhibit safe work ethics is a must, as having a positive, engaged contributor style attitude and communications
• Quick learner with technical aspects of work and with production equipment
• Organization skills, detailoriented and qualityconscious

Other Requirements
The position requires walking and standing. Occasionally, some tasks may require bending, kneeling, reaching.
