Description

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Maintenance & Engineering, the Supervisor, Site Maintenance is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the trades and maintenance staff.

The Supervisor, Site Maintenance participates in activities related to construction projects and in-house upgrades as assigned, providing assistance to Capital Planning staff as required.

The Supervisor, Site Maintenance is the single point of contact for daily maintenance planning and work direction provided to the assigned trades and maintenance staff.

The Supervisor, Site Maintenance provides direct support to the department Manager through ongoing contact concerning all decisions that can or may have direct or indirect impact on the safe and efficient operations of the facility.

Required Qualifications:


Current Alberta Journeyman Certificate in one or more building trades; Mechanical Structural or Electrical and/or a Current Third-Class Power Engineering Certificate.

Qualifications deemed to be equivalent may also be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:


Five years' experience at the Journeyman Trade or Third-Class Power Engineering with a minimum of two years supervisory experience in a union hospital or similar setting.


Preferred Qualifications:

Current working knowledge of building code requirements for a hospital or similar setting. Working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system. Proficiency in Microsoft computer programs specifically; Outlook, Word. Ability to identify and customize communication to various levels.
