Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Partnerships, the Fund Development Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the donor development cycle.

With a goal of ensuring a strategic, highly personalized engagement with donors, the incumbent will maximize revenue to support the priorities set forth by the Robin Hood Foundation Board.

This position focuses on donor centered fundraising through identification, relationship-building, cultivation, and solicitation of a robust portfolio of donors.


Working closely with the Manager, Communications & Partnerships, the CEO and the Finance Team to identify gaps, this role contributes to building awareness of the Robin Hood brand and advocating for the cause, by creating and sharing compelling stories and executing activities that help attract and retain donors and friends of the Robin Hood Association.


Key responsibilities:


  • Development and implementation of a robust Fund Development Strategic Plan, which includes but not limited to:
  • Retaining current donors, corporate & community partners by developing & initiating a solid donor stewardship plan;
  • Increasing donor revenue through a comprehensive donor engagement plan;
  • Developing a list of prospective donors/supporters to help grow support for Robin Hood Association programs;
  • Monitoring and managing a Donor Management System and regularly performing analytics to optimize fundraising efforts;
  • Working with the Finance Team to streamline information sharing and reporting processes
  • Provide consultative support to the CEO and Robin Hood Foundation Board regarding fund development initiatives and strategies;
  • Active participation and visibility in community events (fundraising or other) to increase RHA's network potential
  • Ensure fund development is proactively meeting the needs of the Programs and Association.
  • Perform other related duties, as required.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 23 years experience in Fund Development
  • An undergraduate degree in a related field (Communications, Public Relations, Charity or Volunteer management, Business) is an asset.
  • A demonstrated pattern of success in effective fundraising and fund development roles.
  • Exceptional donor engagement and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Advanced verbal, written, and research skills with the ability to convey complex information simply.
  • Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills (strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver project outcomes within specified parameters including timeframes, budgets and objectives.
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement and innovative opportunities in processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
  • The ability to thrive in a busy and deadlinedriven work environment that requires the coordination of multiple activities, judgment, and flexibility to prioritize and respond to changing needs.
  • Previous experience working with Charitable Foundation Boards is an asset.

Job Type: 3-year Contract; $58,464/annual


Location:
Negotiable, with some expectations to come to the office at 141 Broadway Blvd. Sherwood Park, as needed.
