PROJECT MANAGER

Foundry has in-house design, project management, fabrication, and installation services to execute projects across North America. Our stainless fabrication division proudly builds high quality fixtures exclusively for the foodservice industry.

Our locally owned and operated business includes an innovative showroom and test kitchen, equipment inventory, white-glove delivery team and skilled stainless installation.

The Opportunity

Core Functions:


  • Exceptional attention to detail managing project budgets, schedules, and specifications.
  • Combine leadership and expertise with industry knowledge to provide solutionsbased thinking when resolving project roadblocks on active projects (new build construction and renovations).
  • Collaborate with all project stakeholders to delivery successful project results.

Responsibilities:


  • A resultsbased position, and as such the Project Manager must have skills and experience to work autonomously to make quick analysis of issues and produce results.
  • Manage contracted scope of work for assigned projects, including subcontracts, mechanical, kitchen equipment and custom stainlesssteel scopes of work.
  • Execute project delivery through performance management, including detailed schedule and budget tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors, and Clients on project deliverables.
  • Internal coordination for site measurements, and shop drawing approvals to facilitate timely custom stainlesssteel fabrication.
  • Own the change management process and tracking for assigned projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to articulate the requirements to deliver a successful project for all stakeholders.
  • Understand general construction process, including the interpretation of drawings and shop drawings to ensure design intent is feasible.
  • Understanding the Foundry process, and the roles and responsibilities of other divisions to ensure project targets and timelines are met.
  • Record and document account related details for reference on future projects.
  • Conduct postmortem analysis with project teams to ensure continue process improvement.
  • Travel will be required from time to time.

Capabilities & Experience:


  • Soft skills to collaborate with a broad range of clients, technical experts, consultants, trades, vendors, and other project partners.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time & resources.
  • Strong computer skills and literacy in scheduling, writing, reporting, and use of other software including MS Word, MS Excel, SAP and Asana.
  • Ability to effectively discuss and diffuse situations of conflict.
  • Demonstrate the ability to confidently handle multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
  • Experience in Risk Management considered an asset.
  • PMP or similar credentials considered an asset.
  • 25 years of related project management experience.
