Job Overview:

Avid Group is looking for a Warehouse Shipper/Receiver to join our team.

The Shipper/Receiver plays a critical role in the efficient operation of our apparel production company by managing the shipping and receiving processes.

This individual is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely movement of goods, maintaining organized inventory, and collaborating with various departments to support smooth production and distribution.


Responsibilities:


  • Receiving:
  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, fabrics, and apparel products.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality, accuracy, and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Unload deliveries from trucks and verify shipment quantities against documentation.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Organize and store received goods in designated storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist in periodic inventory audits.
  • Order Fulfillment:
  • Prepare orders for outbound shipments to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Pick, pack, and label products for shipment according to customer specifications.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation, including packing slips and invoices.
  • Shipping:
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and schedule shipments for timely pickup.
  • Load goods onto delivery trucks and ensure proper securing of packages.
  • Verify shipping documents and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Communication:
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure order accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Communicate any shipment delays or issues to relevant parties.

Safety and Compliance:


  • Follow proper safety protocols for handling materials and operating equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and shipping regulations.

Equipment Maintenance:


  • Maintain and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure functionality.

Cleanliness and Organization:


  • Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Properly dispose of packing materials and waste.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations within the apparel or manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if required).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy packages and materials.
  • Problemsolving skills and adaptability to changing priorities and fastpaced environments.
