Role Summary


This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to attract potential customers and retain existing ones in both B2B and B2C environments.

Its primary focus is to help increase demand within the B2B industrial tool industry, but shares focus with driving B2C direct sales via e-commerce.

Reporting into the head of Sales and Marketing, this position has 3-5 direct reports.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the leader of the marketing to set marketing priorities and establish the ongoing marketing plan and budget.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity; ensuring the consistency of brand voice in all media and collateral production.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager achieve/support overall business objectives, including finding appropriate solutions for individual client needs.
  • Work with the marketing team to increase ecommerce sales and manage Megapro's digital presence through all applicable social media channels, including the development of influencer programs and relationships.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to integrate digital strategy into marketing programs.
  • Guide the Graphics & Content Specialist on material development and champion contentrelated opportunities in leadership discussions.
  • Design and implement the external communications strategy, priorities, and programs/ campaigns, and share internally (ie: quarterly company meetings and board package).
  • Negotiate contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy and work with appropriate company stakeholders to bring in required items, as needed.
  • Write, edit, and proofread communications, blogs, and other marketing material as required supporting content efforts.
  • Collaborate, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities or trade shows, customer meetings, store visits, and tradeshows where appropriate.
  • Identify and manage advertising and promotional opportunities targeted to key stakeholders and clients.
  • Leverage new products and company updates for PRrelated efforts.
  • Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Conduct and/or facilitate market research on potential market sectors, areas and trends.
  • Review and approve donation requests internally and externally in accordance with the brand strategy.

Experience & Skills Required

  • 5+ years in a similar position with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possess knowledge, abilities, and skills in strategic communications planning, execution and measurement; Content & social media strategy and execution; analytics platforms and associated analytics tools.
  • Experience curating and creating content; planning and managing online publications; drafting creative briefs, implementing campaigns in a highly collaborative and consultative environment.
  • Selfstarter with a "cando" attitude and proven ability to work within a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strong ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • An eye for design and ability to and create, review, and edit collateral material.
  • Sharp attention to detail and dedication to consistency.
  • Some travel is required.
  • A valid Canadian passport. driver's licence, and access to a vehicle are required.
  • Confident and a quick learner.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Hubspot are an asset.
