Overview:
Quality Control Technicians ensure final quality of aggregate products meet required specifications.

Our Aggregates operations are in Central Alberta.

Responsibilities:


  • Active testing of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
  • Maintain quality as per specification requirements
  • Accurate and ontime reports
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationship with plant staff, customers and/or representatives
  • Performing precise field and laboratory sampling and testing services on raw materials to determine suitability of materials
  • Interpreting calculations, specifications, tolerances, standards, etc.
  • Rejects defective work and materials ensuring quality of our product
  • Communicates both orally and in writing on the findings of tests results and analysis
  • Provides detailed daily testing reports of laboratory testing results, and keeps records organized
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Numbers and patterns can you decipher with ease, spotting trends and insights with finesse and expertise

Safety and Environment

  • Adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies training provided
  • Enforce safety on the work site (truckers, visitors, and plant crew)
  • Contribute toward the overall success of the safety program by following set rules procedures and practices
  • Identify and report workplace hazards and make positive suggestions for their elimination or control
  • Perform duties in the safest manner
  • Required PPE must be worn at all times

Qualifications:

  • Able to understand and work with QC lab equipment
  • Experience working in lab environment
  • CCIL Technician Certifications would be an asset
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, which may include night shifts and overtime
  • Preemployment medical including drug & alcohol testing and a criminal record check may be required.
