Contracting Specialist - Hybrid (can be based out of Woodbridge ON, Vancouver BC, Calgary AB, Winnipeg MB or Montreal QC for in-office days)

The Contracting Specialist role offers a variety of responsibilities, and we are seeking someone who 'gets' customer service and is looking for a challenging role in a fun environment.

This role also offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients (Insurance Advisors) and carriers (Insurance Companies) through seamless customer service and support.

What your day will look like:
Help advisors use industry standard software, APEXA, to support contracting efforts

Review contracting requirements with the advisor when new business is received, and provide guidance and assistance until completion

Process advisor Buy/Sell agreements on block transfers and reassignments to ensure full servicing and commission changes reflecting the new advisor and HUB Financial as the MGA

Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with carriers and work in partnership with them to ensure contracts are processed quickly

Maintain accurate data in our system, WealthServ, including the broker contract, compensation hierarchy, compliance data, and notes

Document and escalate any action required relating to advisor credit, conduct or compliance issues based on facts gathered from Insurance Councils, carrier head offices or other information obtained by HUB Financial

Follow up with all insurance carriers to ensure all contracting and licensing submissions are processed in a timely manner

You will be successful in this role if you have:
A positive attitude, the constant desire to help others, curiosity, and the ability to deliver consistent performance

Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills

Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite & most online meeting platforms

Effective interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)

1-2 years industry-related experience

Experience using APEXA and WealthServ an asset
