Description

The Sales Development Representative is accountable and responsible for selling products, parts and/or services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas.

The Sales Development Representative will leverage exceptional telephone sales and communications skills.

This individual will generate the creation of sale leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers, as well as provide sales support and processing for the internal Technical Support team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coldcall prospects that are generated by external sources of lead, and ensure current customers are provided with superior levels of communication to meet their demands
  • Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and generate sales from within client base.
  • Collaborate with ATG executives to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
  • Create and report on leads, qualified opportunities, sales forecast, and closed deals on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
  • Ensure followup by adhering to action dates, deliverables and timelines
  • Set up and deliver sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, as required
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
  • Coordinate customer training as necessary.
  • Liaise directly with Technical Support to assist with sales opportunities that are generated
  • Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues.
  • Attend periodic sales training where applicable.
  • Comply with Health and Safety programs designed to achieve "Everyone Home Safe"
  • Exemplify model behaviour at all times, to ensure the corporate reputation is upheld
  • Ensure transparent, truthful and timely communication is provided to the ATG Pharma team and ownership

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Office environment
  • Disruption to Lifestyle: Limited overnight travel required <5%
  • Physical Skill: Regular use of a computer and phone on a daily basis

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
Work Experience: 2-3 years of B2B direct and inside sales

  • Knowledge: Exceptional negotiation and closing skills (soft skills, emotional intelligence) A strong background in sales process driven activities and results. General knowledge of robotics and manufacturing is an asset. Exposure to cannabis, industrial automation, cosmetics and natural health sectors is an asset
  • Proficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint, CRM and MRP exposure. Well developed process analysis skills required

$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
