Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, meeting production targets, and maintaining quality standards. This is a key leadership role within our organization.
Duties:
- Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demands.
- Plan, organise and evaluate daily operations.
- Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to optimize efficiency.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Maintain strong team culture.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee the assembly, fabrication, and quality control of products.
- Develop equipment maintenance schedules.
- Manage the supply chain and ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent stockouts.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of equipment or production techniques.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Proven experience in managing production operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand production equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Required Education/Experience:
- A Canadian university degree or a degree recognized as equivalent by a Canadian university or Canadian accreditation body in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
- At least five (5) years of practical experience in a drug manufacturing (GMP).
- Must be able to communicate in English (written and oral).
- Ability to plan, organise and control several tasks and projects concurrently.
- Full cycle implementation skills, (conceptualise, plan, train, implement, validate, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills.
- Must be able to communicate with a wide range of personnel in the hierarchy of customer and regulatory organisations.

$80,000.00-$84,000.00 per year
