Supply Chain Coordinator

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Supply Chain Coordinator needs to be a detail-oriented problem solver that can work comfortably under a deadline.
They will be in charge of ensuring that our construction teams have all the supplies and equipment required to be successful and will be managing relationships with multiple contractors and vendors all while actively seeking out ways to increase operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining supply chain management strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operations
- Managing the acquisition and availability of materials and equipment, inventory maintenance, shipments and returns
- Handling all contact, correspondence and negotiations with vendors and contractors.
- Optimizing warehouse functions, actively seeking out ways to improve efficiencies
- Collaborating with internal departments such as operations or finance to identify and close any operational gaps
- Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Monitoring costs and staying within allocated budgets continually seeking out ways to reduce costs
- Keeping detailed records, generating reports, and developing presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.
- Building relationships within the company and with external parties such as vendors
- Managing of warehouse personnel
- Assist with implementing a lean manufacturing system
Work Conditions:
This position works in an office environment, stationed at a desk/workstation but with the ability to move around.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field. Individuals with a combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
- Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain.
- Understanding of accounting or finance.
- Must be able to comprehend legal documents.
- Strong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
- Ability to read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or agreements.
- Understanding of principles of accounting and finance.
- Ability to create positive relationships and collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors from diverse backgrounds in order to identify problems and find solutions.
- Formal LEAN training, Green or Black belt preferred
- Valid class 5 driver's licence
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience with project management is preferred
