One Floral Group is a wholesale flower producer that provides tailored floral solutions to retail customers throughout North America and is one of the fastest growing producers of floral products.

Our business has over four million square feet of growing and production space in more than six facilities in three different climate zones.

We have the ability to grow and build a variety of products, including potted plants and planters, outdoor lawn and garden plants, and vegetable propagationin the best conditions.

The primary office is located at 2350 Fourth Avenue, Jordan Station, Ontario L0R 1S0.

The company is seeking to hire a Chief Executive Officer (NOC This is a full time permanent position for 50 hours per week for $ per hour.

Prospective employee will be required to work at two locations:
Seacliff Farms located at 451 Seacliff Drive West, Leamington, ON N8H 4C9) and One Floral located at 2350 Fourth Avenue, Jordan Station, Ontario L0R 1S0. The company also offers extended benefits, four weeks prorated vacation, RRSP program with 4% match and incentive plans.


Education and experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• 10 years' experience as senior executive
• Demonstrated track record in achieving operational efficiencies and improvements in glasshouses (including IT, documentation, mechanization, robotization)
• Experience leading sales and marketing in the special crops sector and achieving growth in topline which comes from direct sales experience or senior level responsibility leading a sales team
• Experience in an international work environment

Job duties:

• Unify the company across the three campuses
• Provide regular reports on operations and financial performance to the Board of Directors
• Develop a multiyear strategy for growth of the company
• Design a product matrix that maximizes returns accounting for space, client, labour and timing constraints
• Design a best practice operational plan for Board approval including process optimization, documentation, IT, automation and mechanization and implement approved plan within predetermined time/cost parameters
• Ensure effective operating processes, practices and logistics for all production facilities
• Achieve improvements in operations which result in increases sales, decreased costs, decreased product loss and increased efficiencies in logistics and deliveries
• Work closely with the sales and marketing staff to ensure sufficient supply and ontime deliveries
• Recruit, develop, mentor, upskill and lead a team of staff and ensure a high degree of skill and knowledge development
• Ensure compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements for production facilities and housing of seasonal workers many of whom are from Guatemala
• Skilled at reviewing operational processes and achieving efficiency gains
• Financial management skills, an ability to read financial statements and identify drivers of profitability
• Communications skills and leadership skills: ability to work with a wide variety of people, cultures and styles
• Ability to lead sales and marketing teams and senior level executives including a CFO
• Ability to develop organizational strategy and a track record with tactical execution
• Results oriented, hard worker, driven to achieve
• Downtoearth style with the ability to work with a wide variety of people from seasonal workers, permanent staff, executive colleagues, board members and investors
• Possesses background and personality that commands immediate credibility
• Ability to travel on regular basis within North America and to the operating facilities
• Fluency in English is required and capability in Spanish would be beneficial
