TRAVELERS CANADA is hiring for an Account Executive in our Home Warranty Underwriting department.This position reports to the Manager, Underwriting in the Vancouver office, and will have a focus on underwriting assigned accounts; maintaining client relationships, development of new business and servicing the existing clients.
What Will You Do?- Understand the provisions of the Homeowners Protection Act and Regulations as well as the requirements for home warranty coverage that involve BC Housing
- Licensing and Consumer Services.
- Be familiar with Travelers Canada underwriting guidelines, departmental product lines, internal processes, standard forms, contract documentation and lines of authority and responsibility.
- Be able to prepare for delivery warranty documentation within the bounds of authority. Ensure the accuracy of all documents issued by Travelers.
- Possess a complete knowledge of all Travelers warranty products with the ability to market effectively to new and existing clients.
- Be able to build and maintain client relationships.
- Detailorientated and analytical
- Focus on building relationships within Travelers and with various business partners
- Motivation to provide bestinclass service
- An aptitude for swift, empathic problem solving
- The capacity to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment
- Resourceful and a selfstarter
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience & Qualifications:
- University degree (preferably in a business discipline) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years underwriting, lending or credit analysis experience
- Residential construction or real estate experience would be an asset
- Strong Sales or Relationship Management experience
- Tech savvy
What is a Must Have?
- One year of financerelated experience or relevant insurance or underwriting experience required.
