We are currently looking for experienced Security Guards to join our team in the Squamish and Whistler areas for opportunities at a post-secondary campus and at healthcare facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct regular foot patrols
Monitor CCTV cameras
Provide first aid
Manage lost and found
Write detailed incident reports
Respond to alarms
Deescalate potentially violent situations
Interact with clients and the general public

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:

Excellent customer service and problem
solving skills
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, members of the public, and emergency services.
A passion for being active, since your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parkades.
Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift (8hours average).
Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc.
A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations.
Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer, tracking patrols in a smartphone, and communicating via twoway radio.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
Class 5 BC Driver's License and your own vehicle to commute to & from work

Starting Pay Rate:
$21/hr - $24/hr, depending on the site you work at and certifications you hold.
