POSITION OVERVIEW
Leading the sales effort for _
Custom Metal Contracting (Western) Ltd. and Custom Metal Contracting (Glazing Group) Ltd. - "CMC Companies"_


The position of Business Development Director is a senior level role responsible for driving growth and creating strategic opportunities for CMC companies.

As Business Development Director your primary goal is to identify and pursue new business ventures, partnerships, and market opportunities to expand the company's revenue and market presence.

The strategic goal is to reach sales in excess of $60 million for 2024 and growing by a minimum of 10% each year going forward.

Your top priority is to lead the preconstruction sales effort.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


As a Business Development Director in the construction and manufacturing industry your responsibilities typically revolve around driving growth, establishing strategic partnerships and expanding the company's market presence.

Here are some key responsibilities you would typically have:


  • Ensure that CMC Companies meet its sales goals
  • Achieve target revenue to meet local and national financial commitments.
  • Review financial proforma with OU managers weekly to prioritize project pipeline opportunities
  • Identify potential construction projects
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients
  • Manage the bid procurement process
  • Lead negotiations
  • Identify market gaps
  • Actively take part in industry associations, professional organizations, and community forums
  • Update job tracker with projected revenue cash flows
  • Pursue Project Awards
  • Manage regional business development.
  • Communicate and Collaborate
  • Keep up to date with current façade trends

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Sales and Marketing, Business or related degree from a college or a university

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in project management, engineering or sales with a curtain wall subcontractor or manufacturer; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Curtain wall and/or glazing experience required

$60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
