Matcon Environmental Ltd is one of the Lower Mainland's leading and most highly respected construction companies. Due to continued growth within our Environmental division, we are currently seeking experienced applicants for a civil construction pipe layer position. The position entails laying pipe for a civil construction crew on various sites around British Columbia.


Pipe layer Responsibilities include:

• Completing all tasks safely,
• The knowledge to Interpret drawings, MMCD and supplementary specifications,
• The ability to Install manholes, catch basins, lawn basins, sewer and watermains and other precast structures, the ability to install Hydro, Tel & Shaw duct.
• Coordinating with the Gradesman, Equipment Operator, and Topman.
• Complete understanding of typical industrystandard safe working procedures, especially around trenches and heavy equipment,
• Someone who thrives being in a productiondriven environment while staying friendly, professional, and a clear communicator,
• Attention to detail and desire to provide highquality workmanship, right the first time,
• Understanding of MMCD, supplementary specifications and typical civil testing requirements,
• Problem solver
• At least a year experience as a civil pipe layer
