Warehouse/Receiver Overview
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse/Receiver to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring products are received, organized, and distributed accurately while supporting both in-store and online customer needs. The ideal candidate is physically capable, team-oriented, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with technology in a fast-paced environment.
This position offers room for growth and development for someone who is motivated to take on additional responsibility and become a key part of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and proper documentation.
- Safely load and unload delivery trucks, including heavy lifting when required.
- Complete carry-outs for customers and prepare online orders for pick-up or shipment.
- Use warehouse technology (EFDs, walkies, scanners) to track, scan, and manage inventory.
- Organize stock in the correct locations and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area.
- Assist with order picking, packaging, and timely fulfillment of customer orders.
- Manage and process depot shipments and returns accurately and efficiently.
- Provide support when needed in receiving additional shippments.
- Support inventory counts, stock replenishment, and loss prevention procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous warehouse or shipping/receiving experience is an asset.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks on a daily basis.
- Experience operating forklifts and pump trucks is an asset.
- Comfortable using technology such as EFDs, walkies, scanners, and inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accountability for inventory accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills and a proactive, leadership-minded approach.
