Position Summary:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance throughout project lifecycle such as planning through to implementation and act as a SME between business stakeholders and IT teams.
- Solicit and document business requirements, perform analysis and translate requirements into technical system specifications
- Write and maintain documentation, change management procedures, operational support documents and processes, develop presentation material to senior leadership, build training guides and release notes and assist with the development of business cases, RFQ's, RFP's, statements of work, project charters
Education and Experience:
- Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline
- ITIL certification is required
- Industry leading developer certifications (Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Cloudera/Hadoop, Oracle, Sales Force). PMP, LEAN, COBIT, TOGAF are considered assets
- 3 to 5 years progressive experience in a similar role
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- Working knowledge and experience in Integrated Library Systems (e.g. SirsDynix, Bibliotheca, Bibliocommons), Library IT Products, and Website Content Management Systems (Drupal or others)
- Optional knowledge of the following would be considered an asset: Fire Records Management Systems (ESO Firehouse) and Recreation Management Solution (ActiveNet)
- Strong understanding of system integrations, webbased and client/server enterpriselevel software, including a solid foundation in cloud and onpremise architectures
- Software development experience with a variety of programming languages, development platforms, and databases including Microsoft.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills adept at effectively dealing with multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment and makes sound decisions.

- Must possess a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License and have access to a vehicle for use on corporate business (mileage compensated) and will be required to provide proof of vehicle insurance upon hire.
