About this Opportunity


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Financial Systems Analyst, Financial Reporting will have an understanding of financial analysis and reporting to prepare, review, administer, and assist in processing various financial data.


The
Financial Systems Analyst, Financial Reporting will:


  • Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations between Web Applications, Sage Accounting System, event reports, membership transfers and bank accounts in connection with the monthly close process.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of process documentation and records management
  • Administer a combination of general ledger maintenance (receiving, reviewing, and implementing client requests for general ledger changes, adding new accounts, modifying reporting hierarchies, etc.)
  • Assist in preparation of monthly statements including variance analysis, assist in the preparation and analysis of budget information
  • Review system functionality to find process efficiencies
  • Handle large volumes of data, complete detailed reconciliations, and other special projects as assigned
  • Assist with preparation for the annual external audit
  • Work closely with various members of the accounting and finance teams to follow up on and correct discrepancies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Have a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related financial field
  • Have completed or are currently enrolled in the CPA program
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in an analyst role with a registered charity in Canada
  • Have strong attention to detail and the ability to flow through financial transactions
  • Have working knowledge of/experience with Sage
  • Experience with database queries such as MS Access
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have excellent organizational abilities with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Are a team player with ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Are a positive, enthusiastic, and committed team player and have a demonstrated high degree of initiative, judgement and problemsolving ability
  • Have demonstrated computer software proficiency with MS Office; Office 365, Advanced Excel.

This position will remain open until filled. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis.
