    Where you come in

    As a Junior Data Engineer, you will work within the Data Science team and with the Business Developmentand Solutions teams to develop and produce data pipelines and craft usefuldatasets for creating machine and deeplearning models that enrich VeroSource and client applications with accuratedata analysis, predictions, and recommendations.

    Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Understand business needs and developsolutions through machine learning or other advanced analytics
    • Work with di ff erent members of the team to identify data requirementsand help to develop and implement solutions
    • Help implementautomated data pipelines for transforming client data
    • Data cleaning and feature engineering ondatasets to improve model performance
    • Decipher and solve business problems bydeveloping predictive models
    • Analyze data and generate visualizations andreports on those analyses
    • Develop process improvements and integratenew systems with existing frameworks
    • Validate program operation by conducting QAtesting
    • Identify and escalate data issues to supportcontinuous process improvements
    • Maintain historical records by documentingprogram development and revisions

    Requirements

    Required skills:

    • 1-5 years of experience
    • Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills
    • Pro fi cientin the use of Python . Proficiency in R would also be a great asset.
    Nice to have (but not required):

    • Knowledge ofcloud service providers Machine Learning tools, such as Amazon AWS andMicrosoft Azure
    • Datavisualizations skills using Tableau, Power BI or similar
    • Experience workingwith Spark and Resilient Distributed Datasets
    • Experience with datapartitioning and partitioning strategies
    • Experience with RDBMSand data modeling
    • Fluency working with machine learningframeworks such as Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow
    • Experience implementing machinelearning models in production environments
    • Experience with arti fi cial intelligence
    • REST API Development
    • GIS knowledge and experience, particularly experience withEsri Online products
