Material Handler

We are currently looking to add to our team at Langley facility:


General:


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure proper movement of raw material and product as needed for planned production in a safe and efficient manner
  • Follow all safety, HACCP and process plans and guidelines
  • Maximize efficiencies where possible, minimize down time and report problems promptly
  • Perform a variety of sorting and packing tasks as a part of the production crew and provide leadership to others as required
  • General cleanup and product movement with pallet truck
  • Perform line checks as needed
  • Perform all tasks to ensure compliance with specifications of the customer product
  • Adhere to food safety and HACCP principles
  • Keep work area clean, free of slip and trip hazards at all times
  • Other duties as directed by Production Lead Hands and Supervisors

Qualifications:


  • Able to handle heavy lifting of up to 25kg boxes
  • Experience with food safety and HACCP principles
  • Must be dependable and hold an above average attendance record
  • Good communication skills and able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with little supervision
  • Responsible to maintain a hand truck and forklift license

Salary:
$18.45-$19.45 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Morning shift
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Langley, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Material Handler: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (preferred)
