The operations support will report to the Production Supervisor and work closely with key departments including production, Quality, Customer service, Supply chain, Engineering, Maintenance and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

_ Epicor Transactions - 80% of daily workload_

  • Review and Process Job receipt to inventory transactions for all job travelers
  • Review and process job completion transactions
  • Collect, store, organize physically and electronically job travelers and records of production runs
- identify & visually manage finished goods in the staging area to ensure they are properly identified and flow into the appropriate locations

  • Coordinate with quality, production, and shipping team to ensure data discrepancies, with approval by Production supervisor or designate, are corrected so that system data is accurate

Production Reporting - 20% of daily workload_**- Prepare Epicor and/or WIS based reports relating to scheduled and completed production runs, planned and actual quantity produced, run times, costs, downtimes, production notes and variances

  • Create and maintain Excel, PowerBI or similar reports for KPIs and metrics at planned intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly) to keep track of performance and trends
- conduct preliminary reviews of job variances reported by Accounting
- report and discuss with production supervisor or designate any observed concerns on job transactions that need further exploration or corrections

  • Assess, track and document effectiveness & progress of actions taken to correct variance issues.
  • Store, organize & maintain (physically or electronically) generated reports & analysis files

Operations Support:
(bi weekly)_**- Health & Safety - assist in preparing, tracking, and documenting Company safety programs and activities

  • Maintenance prepare & track equipment performance measures (downtimes, response times, causes)
  • Support Operations in Inventory tracking and inventory management activities
  • Support Operations efficiency and cost improvement projects

Experience, knowledge, skills & Qualifications:


  • Minimum 1 year experience in a shopfloor or operations support role in a manufacturing environment
  • Post secondary education, Engineering or technical degree (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated analytical & problem solving skills
  • Good understanding & Hands on experience with operations & manufacturing concepts
  • Selfmotivated, organized and able to meet deadlines in a fast paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to see improvement opportunities, provide suggestions, and execute tasks through completion
