Who we need:

Reporting to the Director, People, the People Manager is responsible for human resources expertise and coaching to managers and people operations support.

This position provides in-depth people operations and policy guidance and partners closely with management to provide People guidance, support, and solutions that drive organizational success.

Specific responsibilities include:
employee relations, onboarding, and human resources expertise and coaching to management.

Contributes to a working environment where all team members can be their best selves, grow and thrive, to support our corporate mission of championing student success.

What you will do:

Serve as a People partner and trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on talent management, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and People best practices.
Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, and use datadriven insights to inform People strategies and decisionmaking.
With the support of other team members and leadership, participating in small projects within the people team.
Collaborating with colleagues in other teams on crossfunctional projects and initiatives, to support the strategic imperatives.
Contributing to a positive corporate culture that supports equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.
Upholding the integrity of university policies and complies with employment standards legislation.

What you bring:

5+ years of experience in human resources and employee relations, including significant experience in an HR Business Partner or strategic People/HR role.
Strong knowledge of People/HR best practices, including talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence managementlevel stakeholders.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals and objectives.
Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and People/HR compliance requirements.
Professional certifications such as CHRP are preferred but not required.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (or international equivalent).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams).
