If you're a seasoned forklift operator with a passion for boats and a talent for precise maneuvering, Legend Boats wants you on our team We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic workforce.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the careful and precise movement of boats, ensuring they are placed in designated areas within our facility with the highest level of care and attention to detail.


  • Works outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Possesses excellent handeye coordination and spatial awareness for efficient and safe material handling.
  • Is proficient in the safe maneuvering and operation of various forklift types, including counterbalance, reach, and pallet jacks.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and reliability to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
  • Effectively communicates with team members and supervisors.

To be eligible for this role, you MUST be able to:

  • Safely operate equipment
  • Provide a
    valid driver's license at the time of hire and maintain an insurable abstract through our companies insurance provider (required to use the company vehicles)
  • Tow boat packages for various business requirements

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Creating memorable experiences for both our customers and the company.
  • Collaborating with the team to maintain the organization of boats in the Yard.
  • Ensuring the efficient unloading, accurate accounting, and proper staging of all parts in designated areas.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and embodying the company culture, showcasing a teamplayer mentality, and displaying a continuous willingness to learn throughout your tenure, as assessed by your immediate supervisor and team feedback.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines and regulations consistently, with safety being a top priority in this role.
  • Collaborating with the coordinator to enhance the department's efficiency in product flow through adequate and timely product staging.
  • Loading return shipments or products during regular business requirements or for shows.
  • Conducting daily yard walkthroughs to safeguard clients and our stock products from weatherrelated potential damages (e.g., snow or water load buildup), ensuring all products are wheellocked for wind protection, and identifying any items of concern for communication to the Lead hand.

Salary:

$20-25 per hour, depending on certification, experience and skill level
