Labs-Mart Inc. is an independent third-party testing laboratory that provides analytical services to the supplement, food and cannabis industry. Labs-Mart Edmonton is a cGMP certified analytical laboratory and carries ISO 17025 accreditation.

We are seeking a

Laboratory Technician for our Edmonton location. This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, achieve professional growth within the organization and cross-train in a variety of techniques.

Reporting to the Supervisor-Chemistry, the Laboratory Technician-Chemistry will be responsible for the following:

  • Routine testing of client supplied samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly verifications.

Duties and responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to:

  • Prepare analytical standards
  • Perform daily balance verification
  • Perform monthly pipette verification
  • Perform daily stability chamber
  • Weigh samples
  • Perform sample processing in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Maintain records of raw data in Labs-Mart lab notebooks
  • Record final data in Labs-Mart database
  • Calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments, (Spectrophotometers, Meters, Titrators)
  • The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:


  • Diploma, Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment
  • 03 years' experience working in a commercial laboratory setting
  • Working knowledge of GMP and/or ISO guidelines would be an asset
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good attention to detail
