TEMPORARY PART TIME LOCUM

SEPTEMBER MONTH TERM)
The UBC Department of Pediatrics and BCCH are seeking a temporary Pediatric Rheumatologist.

The pediatric rheumatology team in BCCH is well-established and of world renown for clinical care, clinical teaching and research. The team includes 4 physicians, clinical research assistants, dedicated clinical nurse specialists, occupational and physiotherapist, and a social worker.

The philosophy of the division is to maintain its status of clinical excellence through ongoing clinical and basic science research, and the education of future health care providers.

The successful applicant will require specialist qualifications with completion of specific pediatric rheumatology clinical training.

In addition, the applicant should have a strong academic track record for level of training; formal training in health services/epidemiological research, or in medical education and program development would be beneficial.

Salary and UBC rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.


Applicants will have completed a subspecialty residency-training program in Pediatric Rheumatology, accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent.

Applicants must be eligible for a specialist license, as determined by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.

Salary and UBC rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The anticipated start date for the position is September 1, 2023.
