The Manager, CMMS, Quality & Reliability role reports to the National Maintenance Excellence Manager, MHE, and is responsible to lead a team who optimizes the CMMS system and reliability of MHE systems.

The broad mandate for this role is to optimize the CMMS system capabilities. Implementation of Predictive Maintenance Techniques and develop routes for different systems with inspection points.

Must have has strong experience with RCM, sorter optimization, maintenance programs based on data as well as in depth knowledge of optimizing and leveraging CMMS as well as automated corrective work order creation based on network based predictive monitoring tools.

Develops, monitors, communicates, and determines root causes of the maintenance performance KPIs and leads the development of strategies and implementation of tactics for improvement.

Provides direction and support to the businesses in tracking, documenting, auditing, improving, and implementing maintenance processes. Excellent attitude and behavioral skills.


Responsibilities

  • Be the network level SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and provide training to the engineering team in its use and escalate issues as required.
  • Ensure the system is running in line with industry's best standards and participate in projects and improvement programs to roll out new functionality, procedures, scheduling, or reports.
  • Functional proficiency with at least 5+ full lifecycle CMMS implementations and 8+ years of related industry experience.
  • Ensure the system accurately forecasts and assigns all required preventative maintenance to technicians within the team to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers. Compile equipment information, performance metrics and machine histories and make recommendations for improvements based on their findings.
  • Manage spare parts stock levels, place and track orders as required. Work with procurement and the wider network to find savings or efficiencies.
  • Detailed knowledge of the CMMS Plant maintenance master data, maintenance notifications, maintenance orders and preventive maintenance, maintenance scheduling, refurbishment process.
  • Experience with maintenance principles, practices, concepts, and options including all areas within maintenance planning, scheduling, coordination, and optimization.
  • Experienced level, at least 10 years of experience in maintenance industry;
  • Detailed understanding and demonstrated experience of CMMS fundamentals including maintenance build principals
  • Proficient with MS Office with expertise in Excel;
  • Health and safety knowledge (Ontario OHSA, ESA, CSA, ULC, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, and/or Engineering with related work experience.
  • A Master's degree or Certification in engineering or management sciences or project management would be an asset
  • 5+ years of relevant Operations, Project Management, Service, and Management experience
  • 57 years of Data analytics, reporting, and presentation experience
  • 57 years of experience working with business stakeholders within a crossfunctional matrix environment
  • A thorough understanding of similar industry/experiences policies and procedures or field experience is considered an asset.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or PMP certification is an asset
  • Strong record of client service, with a mindset of assisting clients in resolving problems and finding solutions, including experience providing workable and understandable recommendations to management
  • Professional services (management consulting) experience would be an asset.
  • Superior mentoring and coaching skills are a must for this role
