Position Overview:


As a the Inventory Coordinator at Almac Metal Industries Ltd., you will play a critical role in managing our inventory, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee inventory management activities, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring accuracy in stock records.
  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and customer demands.
  • Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock rotation, and identifying obsolete or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Verify and maintain shipping documents, such as bills of lading and packing lists.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and transport materials within the facility.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to track and reconcile purchase orders and vendor invoices.
  • Communicate inventory levels, shortages, and discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in inventory management is required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations, including knowledge of shipping documents and procedures.
  • Proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.

Salary:
$28.00-$35.00 per hour
