    Role and Responsibilities

    CAE is seeking a Manager, Data Platform with extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large scale data solutions on modern cloud platforms. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, big data platforms, and data architecture patterns and best practices. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. As the Data Platform Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing the platform engineering team, DataOps , and MLOps teams. You will be responsible for driving the evolution of our Data Platform across people, processes, products, and technology. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, a strong leadership skillset, and a proven track record of successfully managing and scaling data platforms.

    Key Responsibilities :

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Provide strong leadership to the platform engineering, DataOps , and MLOps teams.
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing and motivated team.
    • Create a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. Strategy & Execution :
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the evolution of the Data Platform a lign ed with business goals and objectives .
    • Effectively track, manage and remediate technical debt as the platform evolves. Process Optimization:
    • Drive efficiency and scalability in platform operations.
    • Streamline and optimize DataOps and MLOps processes.
    • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance. Product Development:
    • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define and prioritize platform features to d rive adoption and ensure high internal customer satisfaction .
    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of data products.
    • Ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and tools into the platform. Technology Oversight:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the platform remains cutting-edge .
    • Maintain a deep technical understanding of the entire data stack.
    • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team. Qualifications :
    • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
    • +10 years of experience in leading data platform teams.
    • Proven experience in data engineering, DataOps , and MLOps .
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Deep technical expertise in data technologies, databases, and cloud platforms.
    • Experience with big data technologies and machine learning frameworks.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Deep experience on cloud technologies such as: Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks.
