    Description
    What to ExpectTesla is looking for an experienced Material Planner to manage the storage and movement of parts in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This person will manage inventories while also coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.What You'll Do
    • Lead and oversee the day-to-day scheduling execution of kitting jobs by the kitting team to the assembly floor, engineering change material recovery and movement, and parts shipping using instructions from project managers
    • Work within cross functional teams, in person and electronically, consisting of the project management, mechanical and electrical assembly, inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering departments to ensure needed parts are made available to the assembly floor and customer facilities in a timely manner
    • Maintain and create processes and procedures for the material planning and adjacent departments to follow for the department to run effectively. Similarly, create and maintain reports and tools to observe and analyze department goals and capabilities. Credibly report job and department status in weekly sync meetings
    • Find and analyze gaps, identify paths to improvement, then create and execute tools and system/process modifications to make substantial ongoing improvements to department KPIs
    • Various other departmental task assigned by management from time to time
    What You'll Bring
    • College Degree, 5 years' experience in material planning and working in manufacturing warehouse environment or related field, or equivalent
    • Strong working knowledge of various Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word is required. Experience with ERP database software, inventory management software, and the participation in development or modification of software-based tools to enhance and streamline processes is a strong asset
    • Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills across multiple platforms/venues and departments. Positive attitude and the ability work well with team members
    • Solid ability to adapt, reprioritize, multitask, and problem-solve based on the needs of the kitting department and the organization
    • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy within a fast-paced environment
    • Solid experience and knowledge using RF scanners and order picking using a handheld device
